The email was from Tobias Amaranth, an avid supporter of Triangle Studios and a gamer who is obviously addicted to playing Heron on his Wii! The image we found attached to the email displayed the monster score of 30.232.000 points! By far the highest score we’ve ever seen achieved on the Wii up until this point. Tobias, our hats are off to you!

It’s been some time since Heron: Steam Machine was launched, but it’s great to see that people are still keeping us up to date with their latest efforts, and sending us highscores. If you think you can do better than Tobias, make sure to let us know. And we’ll put you in the spotlight on our website :-)

The game was featured on AppEvent.com and Plusplus.com, where we kicked off the sale on Friday night. In the two days that followed, over 20.000 people around the world were able to get their hands on the game! Thanks to this, the game rocketed up the carts and got in the Top 10 Free Games List in several countries!

On top of that, the Free to Play Flash version of the game has reached 150.000 plays in just a matter of 2 weeks! Very impressive if I may say so!

I’m actually kind of upset I didn’t notice this game sooner! Probably one of the best unnoticed games on the App Store! I’ll be sure to tell all of my friends about it… after the price goes up because I’d like to help as much as possible with the sales of this fantastic game! :D

One of those games you don’t ever want to delete on your iPhone! Very hard to stop playing. Can’t go wrong if you buy this game if you love puzzels. You will love this game.

Haven’t had the chance to try out the frantic pipe puzzler Heron: Steam Machine? Well now is your chance as this cool iPhone App will be completely FREE only this weekend, on January 23rd and 24th. Heron: Steam Machine is normally available for $0.99 in the Appstore.

Heron: Steam Machine is a game about a factory where rubber duckies are being produced by a large steam engine. On this steam engine, there are four different gauges which you will have to watch carefully. These gauges represent steam, electricity, water and oil. When the gauges start to rise, you will have to connect a pipe with the color corresponding with the gauge. By connecting the pipes, you will earn points and relieve some of the pressure. Prevent the steam engine from blowing up and save as many rubber duckies as you can!

Heron: Steam Machine is Plus+ enabled. Plus+ connects you with a community of gamers across a growing array of games. It’s a social network developed for the iPhone & iPod touch. With Plus+ you can compete against your friends or the world by issuing Direct Challenges or vying for a spot on the global leaderboards. Show off your gaming skills by unlocking awards for your in-game accomplishments. Compare your overall +Score, the tally of +Points earned by completing awards spread across Plus+, with your fellow gamers.

Leeuwarden, The Netherlands – October 16, 2009 – Players can finally blow off some steam, as Heron: Steam Machine has launched simultaneously on WiiWare and the iPhone! The WiiWare version is now available for all European gamers at the price of 500 Wii Points. The iPhone & iPod Touch version can be downloaded by everyone around the world for $0.99 or €0.79.

Heron: Steam Machine is a game about a factory where rubber duckies are being produced by a large steam engine. On this steam engine, there are four different gauges which you will have to watch carefully.

These gauges represent steam, electricity, water and oil. When the gauges start to rise, you will have to connect a pipe with the color corresponding with the gauge. By connecting the pipes, you will earn points and relieve some of the pressure, keeping the machine running just a little bit longer! If one of the gauges reaches it’s maximum, the machine will eventually blow up, and the game is over.

In multiplayer, which is only available in the WiiWare version, you are able to cooperate with friends in maintaining the steam machine. When you play with two, three or four players, the screen is divided into sections with different background colors. Each player is able to solve his or her own part of the puzzle, so you will have to work together to make the pipes fit properly!
